Updating the BIOS le

To update the BIOS le using the AFUDOS utility:

1. Visit the ASUS website (www.asus.com) and download the latest BIOS le for

the motherboard. Save the BIOS le to a bootable oppy disk.

2. Copy the AFUDOS utility (afudos.exe) from the motherboard support CD to

the bootable oppy disk you created earlier.

3. Boot the system in DOS mode, then at the prompt type:

afudos /i[lename]

where [lename] is the latest or the original BIOS le on the bootable oppy disk.

A:\>afudos /iI220GC.ROM

Write the BIOS lename on a piece of paper. You need to type the exact BIOS

lename at the DOS prompt.

4. The utility veries the le and starts updating the BIOS.

Do not shut down or reset the system while updating the BIOS to prevent

system boot failure!

Make sure to choose the right BIOS les from ASUS website according to the

version of your mother board. Refer to your Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for

version information.
