Figure 7 lists other example raw commands for generating platform
event messages. The sensor IDs are platform specific. Once the Platform
Event Trap events are generated, administrators can verify them using the
command ipmitool -I open sel list.
Expanding IPMItool remote management with raw commands
Raw commands enable administrators to expand the functionality of
IPMItool and gain powerful remote management capabilities. When com-
bined with the guidelines in the IPMI 2.0 specification and the BMCs of
Dell PowerEdge servers, IPMItool can become an indispensable tool in
enterprise data centers.
