Serial ATA [Enabled]
Allows you to enable or disable the Serial ATA function.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
SATA Controller Mode Option [Enhanced]
Allows selection of the Serial ATA operation mode depending on the operating
system (OS) that you installed. When you set this item to Enhanced Mode,
Serial ATA and Parallel ATA devices are auto-detected and placed in native
IDE mode. Set to Enhanced Mode if you are using native OS, such as
Windows
®
2000/XP. When you set this item to Compatible Mode, Serial ATA
and Parallel ATA devices are auto-detected and placed in legacy mode. Set
this item to [Compatible] if you are using legacy OS, e.g. Windows ME/98/NT,
MS-DOS. Conguration options: [Compatible] [Enhanced]
The following items appear only if you set the
SATA Controller Mode Option
item to [Enhanced].
SATA RAID Enable [Disabled]
Allows you to enable or disable the Serial ATA RAID function.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
SATA AHCI Enable [Disabled]
Allows you to enable or disable the Serial ATA AHCI function.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]

SATA RAID Enable
is set to
[Disabled]
• AHCI mode item supports only under Windows environment.
• Due to the driver limitation, you will not nd any SATA driver if you install
Fedora core 4.
Native Mode Operation [Auto]
Allows you to choose the native mode for ATA.
Conguration options: [Auto] [Serial ATA]
