Sets the Serial ATA conguration. When set in Advanced Host Controller

Conguration options: [Standard IDE] [AHCI] [RAID]
The AHCI allows the onboard storage driver to enable advanced Serial
ATA features that enhance storage performance on random workloads by
allowing the drive to internally optimize the order of commands.
If you want the Serial ATA hard disk drives to use the Advanced Host
Controller Interface (AHCI), set this item to [AHCI]. For details on AHCI, go
to: www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imst/sb/CS-012304.htm
www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imst/sb/CS-012305.htm
When in AHCI/RAID
mode, SATA controller
is forced to Native
mode.
The system can fully support Serial ATA II technology only when you set
this item to [AHCI]. Install the Intel SATA AHCI Driver during windows
setup when you congured SATA as AHCI mode. Refer to the section
“6.1.2 Installing the RAID controller driver” on page 6-3.
